And at the end of a great service project, the Scouts pose by the pile of wood that they had removed from the river.

And it wasn't just the amount of wood removed, the wood had been specifically chosen as the stuff sticking out in the most dangerous ways, or most likely to trap someone in the rapids.  There is a chance that the work the Scouts did could save someone's life some day.  Hopefully the Scouts better understand the dangers of strainers now when we go canoeing.
