Saturday dawned bright and cold.  The Campmaster had told us we had to do all of our fires in approved fire rings.  Well I am not sure if he realized that they were all full of ice.  That's right.  Ice, not snow.  Evidently as snow thawed it couldn't drain at all so it would just refreeze every night into ice.  Then as more snow was blown into the fire pit the ice would keep piling up.  The ice certainly made lighting cooking fires more difficult, but hey, we are Troop 33.
